Our purpose is to Empower, Inspire, and Transform lives.
Supporting the needs of the community.
The Helen Martin Brooks Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization built on serving others. Education is embedded within everything that we do. In addition to our current projects, listed below, we plan to expand our 3 Focus areas to include Virtual Tutoring for students, College Scholarships, and Farming at scale.
There are many ways to get involved. We welcome donations, volunteers and corporate partnerships. Please reach out to learn how we can work together!
Materials for Education
Many students go to school on their first day without the proper tools needed to learn. We partner with teachers to ensure their classrooms have supplies the students need and tools teachers need to have a successful school year.
Environmental Restoration
Maintaining a clean environment is important to preserve the health of people in the community, ecosystems, and the overall health of the planet. As a participant in the Adopt-A-Highway program, we are committed to keeping over a mile of the community’s roads free of litter. We have also partnered with members of the community to facilitate a recycling program.
Healthy Food Choices
There are areas within our community that can be considered “Food Deserts”. This means that members of that community must travel several miles to get to a grocery store. As the prices of high quality, nutrient dense foods increase, people are forced to buy what they can afford, and it may not be the best choice. We plan to partner with local farmers to begin offering free food boxes to those in need.
